I’m usually skeptical about jarred sauces, but this Puttanesca blew me away. The combination of olives, capers, and anchovy paste creates a depth of flavor that’s hard to find. It’s like a taste of Naples in every bite.

Honestly wasn’t planning to review this but I keep thinking about the dinner I made with it a few nights ago. It had this briny, rich kind of thing going on—almost like it had been simmering for hours. I panicked because I didn’t have anchovies but turns out the sauce already had that covered. Didn’t need to touch it. Rare for me.

I grabbed this on a whim while shopping because I didn’t feel like making dinner from scratch, and wow—pleasantly surprised. The texture is spot-on (not watery), and the flavor is bold without being too punchy. I added some mushrooms and chickpeas just because I had them, but the sauce didn’t need help. Will be stocking up.

We usually make our own sauce but I was tired and didn’t feel like chopping anything. This actually worked out better than expected. It had that salty-spicy hit I love in a Puttanesca, and didn’t taste sugary like a lot of shelf sauces. Kind of wish the jar was a bit bigger though—there wasn’t much left after two servings.

I saw this brand online and figured I’d give it a try since I’ve had their glaze before. The Puttanesca was honestly delicious—it had this nice layered taste, like you could tell they didn’t rush it. I ended up using the leftovers as a pizza base the next day and it worked beautifully. Definitely not your average grocery store sauce.
